Christy Ankrom, a native Houstonian, graduated from the University of Houston- Clear Lake with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2002.  Her undergraduate studies concentrated in industrial/organizational psychology and literature.  After graduating, Christy started working full-time at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston McGovern Medical School in the Department of Neurology, where she has had numerous opportunities for professional growth in the field of telemedicine.  While at UTHealth, she implemented small and large scale telemedicine programs in various specialties and also obtained her Master in Health Administration from Texas A&M University.  She is the Co-Founder of Current Neurology Solutions, where she is able to extend her reach into telemedicine.  

 

In her free time, Christy enjoys traveling with her husband Ray and daughter Laney, as well as reading as many books as she can put her hands on. As an avid music fan, she also enjoys attending concerts and festivals with her friends.
